Shoes: translate the size label into a measurement.

Before opening a shoe listing, identify the exact size system and ask what its measurement represents. A familiar size number alone does not establish fit.

Record a size you can actually compare.

  1. Record the size label and system shown for the exact option, including any separate men’s or women’s scale.
  2. Ask whether a length refers to a foot, a removable insole or the outside of the shoe. Do not compare them as if they were the same.
  3. Compare against a pair that fits using the same measurement method. Allow for your intended socks and use; do not assume a universal allowance.
  4. If the chart and selected option disagree, ask the platform to clarify before purchase.

Use photos to resolve a specific mismatch.

Ask for readable size labels on both shoes, a view of the pair together and any measurement that could change your decision. A tape must have a visible start point and unit.

Different camera angles can make shapes look different. A familiar silhouette or logo is not evidence of authenticity, material composition or comfort.

Decide what happens to the box.

Ask whether retaining or removing the box changes protection, packing dimensions, fees or the available route. Obtain a quote for the package you intend to ship rather than treating the shoe weight as the parcel weight.

Questions at this step.

Can I convert every shoe with one size chart?

No. Use the chart for the exact listing and confirm the system and measurement method. A generic conversion cannot establish fit.

Does a clear outsole photo prove durability?

No. A photo shows visible details at that moment. It does not establish wear resistance, materials or long-term performance.
